The Volt, Kolkata, is envisioned as a progressive commercial development that challenges the conventional idea of office buildings. Moving away from the typical solid cubical form, the project introduces a bold architectural identity that reflects innovation, openness, and contemporary workplace culture.
The design is shaped through the concept of subtracting volumes from a larger mass, resulting in a distinctive staggered form. This approach not only creates a visually dynamic structure but also allows for better light, openness, and spatial variety within the building. Together, these elements redefine the office environment, transforming it into a more engaging and forward-looking workspace.

The challenge was to move beyond the conventional solid cubical office building and create a commercial space that feels dynamic, contemporary, and visually distinctive.
