THE VOLT

Commercial Project

2020

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Volt, Kolkata, is envisioned as a progressive commercial development that challenges the conventional idea of office buildings. Moving away from the typical solid cubical form, the project introduces a bold architectural identity that reflects innovation, openness, and contemporary workplace culture.

The design is shaped through the concept of subtracting volumes from a larger mass, resulting in a distinctive staggered form. This approach not only creates a visually dynamic structure but also allows for better light, openness, and spatial variety within the building.

Together, these elements redefine the office environment, transforming it into a more engaging and forward-looking workspace.

This strategy introduced depth, variation, and openness to the structure, resulting in a visually striking building that also enhances spatial quality and light within the workspace.

  • Project Outcome

The result is a distinctive commercial landmark that redefines the typical office environment. The dynamic form creates a strong architectural identity while offering more engaging and well-lit workspaces, setting a new direction for contemporary office design.
